Board Nominations

The following positions/responsibilities compose the GMJFA Board of Directors:  All positions below are open this year.  If you are interested please enter a nomination online.

Vice President: The Vice President shall manage registration and records and allocate scholarships.  The Vice President will coordinate physicals and the GMJFA Football Camp.  The Vice President shall assist the President/Director and discharge all of the duties of the President/ Director in the absence of that office. The Vice President will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, Weigh-Ins, and Camp.

Treasurer: The Treasurer shall be charged with the responsibility of keeping a proper record of all financial transactions, as well as maintaining all GMJFA bank accounts and the Association’s 501(c)(3) status. The Treasurer shall furnish and file such financial statements or information as may be required by JMFA or by the U.S. Bureau of Internal Revenue.  In addition, monthly team balances will be available for each GM team, and will be e-mailed out. The Treasurer will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, Weigh Ins, and Camp.

 

COUNTY REPRESENTATIVE: The County Representative shall attend all meetings of JMFA as a representative of the Association.  The County Rep shall also be responsible for attending all GMJFA meetings and reporting all JMFA proposals, transactions, rule changes, and responsibilities to the Association without bias. They shall be responsible along with the President/Director for representing the opinion of the Association at JMFA meetings and casting the Association vote. The County Rep shall assist in staffing JMFA activities, including the draft, Weigh-Ins, and the Carnation Bowl.  The County Rep will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, and Camp.

 

Fields Coordinator:  The Fields Coordinator shall be the GMJFA liaison to the city and schools and will obtain and maintain Field Permits.  The Fields Coordinator will assign practice fields and act as the contact for same, and will be responsible for coordinating field set-up and break-down. The Fields Coordinator will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, Weigh-Ins, and Camp.

 

Equipment Coordinator:  The Equipment Coordinator shall work with the jersey supplier to ensure that youth have the correct jersey size, number and name.  Will coordinate the used equipment sale that is held yearly (July), which also includes coordinating the collection and storage of the used equipment, coordinate the volunteers, and will price all items to sell.  The Equipment Manager is charged with the coordination distribution and retrieval of all football equipment, this also includes the purchase of new equipment, and the donation of any old equipment.  Organize coaches team bags, every team will receive two football bags, pennies, kicking tees, and cones, the other bag will include a helmet repair kit, first aid kits, extra mouth pieces, and athletic tape.  Will ensure that all teams have practice dummies available to them for the season.  At the end of each season the Equipment Manager will collect all team bags, and practice dummies.  Will assist at Ram’s Night fitting youth into jerseys, will maintain the gator, and will maintain the shed at Dunstan.  The Equipment Manager will also be the “Safety Guy” for GMJFA, this includes; attending all heads up training meetings, organize a heads up training for all GMJFA coaches and assistants, address any safety concerns from coaches or parents, and will support the GM President in making sure all coaches have the on-line training certificates completed.

 

Team Manager Coordinator/Alternate County Rep:  The Team Manager Coordinator shall be the GMJFA liaison for all team managers, will maintain regular contact with them, and encourage team manager attendance at board meetings.  The Team Manager Coordinator shall notify the Board of Directors of the identity of each team manager.  The Team Manager Coordinator is charged with explaining to team managers their duties as outlined in the Team Manager Handbook. The Team Manager is responsible for securing the team books and working with each individual team manager to ensure they are complete. In addition, the Team Manager Coordinator is charged of coordinating Weigh-Ins and securing volunteers. The Team Manager Coordinator shall act as an alternate County Representative assuming the duties of that position as needed. The Team Manager Coordinator will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, and Camp.

 

Team Parent Coordinator:  The Team Parent Coordinator shall be the GMJFA liaison for all team parents and will provide guidance and advice.  The Team Parent Coordinator is charged with explaining to team parents their duties to their team with regard to matters such as nameplates, patches, jerseys and the return of same, team attendance at pictures, notification of practice and game schedule and locations, preparation of drink/snack schedule, and procuring and maintaining team sponsorships.  The Team Parent Coordinator shall plan and direct team picture days.  Also, the Team Parent Coordinator will be charged with coordinating association and team fundraisers.  The Team Parent Coordinator will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, Weigh Ins, and Camp.

 

SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR:  The Sponsorship Coordinator will administer the Sponsorship Program Policy, issue contribution letters, acquire and distribute sponsorship banners and plaques.  The Sponsorship coordinator will send out tax letters to all association and team sponsors.  The Sponsorship Coordinator will plan and implement Rams Night, in addition to assisting with camp, Equipment Sale, and Weigh Ins.

 

Webmaster:  The Webmaster shall maintain the GMJFA website and educate and advise board members, coaches, team managers and team moms on the use of same.  The Webmaster is charged with protecting the integrity, security, and access to the website.  In addition, will assist at a minimum assigning players, coaches, team parent and team parents to their respective teams, this includes linking rosters to the JMFA web-site.  Will send out all email communications from GMJFA to parents, and coaches.  Also, responsible for the reformatting of graphic files, text documents and overall electronic communications.  The Webmaster should keep up the general appearance of the website, this includes; adjustments to homepage (new events updated weekly), maintenance and creation of Horizontal and Vertical pages, board member updates, general contact information, security setting for site and accounts, and the creation of widgets (recent results, pic of the week, scores, etc.).  Finally, the Webmaster is charged with creating and maintaining sponsorship links and logos, as well as creation and maintenance of on-line forms, this includes; sponsorship form, season surveys, coach surveys, end of season surveys, and board nominations.  The Webmaster will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, Weigh-Ins, and Camp.

 

Apparel Coordinator:  The Apparel Coordinator is charged with creating apparel for each new season, and coordinating orders with approved GMJFA vendors.  In addition, the Apparel Coordinator will purchase and maintain the apparel inventory and will sell at all GMJFA functions with include but limited to, Rams Night, Camp, Equipment Sale, and other dates as assigned by the board.  The Apparel Coordinator will assist at any board functions, which include but not limited to, Rams Night, Equipment Sale, Weigh-Ins, and Camp.

 

Flag Coordinator:  The Flag Coordinator will be responsible for assignment of each registered participant to a flag team, as well as assisting in securing coaches for the flag teams, with the advice and approval of the President.  The Flag Coordinator shall attend all meetings of the area coordinators and will be involved in the drafting and implementation of rules of play, and reporting results of any meetings to the Board of Directors.
